Kaiser Aluminum’s invests in aerospace industry
Kaiser Aluminum expects to open a new industrial site for aerospace parts by the end of the year. Work on the US aerospace company’s investment to expand its Trentwood, WA facility has been continuing without any delays, the company’s CEO said.
The Trentwood facility produces heat treat plate and sheet for aerospace and GE end market applications. Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Keith Harvey said that work on Kaiser’s Trentwood Phase seven investment at its site in Washington was on time.
He told investors during the call at the end of last month: “The project is advancing on schedule, on budget and its completion remains closely aligned with supporting the growing demand for both aerospace and general engineering plate products in 2026 and beyond.
“We expect the additional production capacity to come online early in the fourth quarter of this year.”
The $25 million investment will enable the company to meet aerospace demand as well as improve quality and efficiency at the site.
