Arconic invests $175 million in casthouse expansion

Arconic, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, is a provider of aluminium sheet, plate and extrusions, as well as innovative architectural products, that advance the ground transportation, aerospace, building and construction, industrial and packaging end markets.

The project, called Pit 10, will expand aluminium ingot casting capacity, increase recycling of scrap aluminium, improve energy efficiency, and drive more domestic manufacturing.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority helped support the initiative which will create 40 new jobs at the site.
