Australian gold miner Regis reports record annual production of 458,354 ounces
Regis Resources, fourth largest Australian gold producer on the ASX, has reported record annual production of 458,354 ounces for the financial year ended June 30, 2023.
The company said that its cash and bullion increased to A$243M at 30 June 2023 up from A$204M at 31 March 2023.
Managing Director and CEO Jim Beyer commented, “We are very pleased to deliver a record year of gold production for FY23. Most notably, the June quarter saw our operations drive a cash and bullion build of $39M.
“With commercial production declared at both Garden Well underground (Duketon) and Havana open pit (Tropicana) we have commenced the journey from investment phase to having two cash generating pillars that can be used to help fund our growth project, McPhillamys once approved.”
Regis holds dominant positions on the Duketon and Albany-Fraser (Tropicana) Greenstone Belts in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, operating several open pit and underground mines on these belts.
The company is also progressing the McPhillamys gold project in the Central Western region of New South Wales, a robust large-scale open pit gold mine within a highly prospective land package.
