Digital Optimizer for improved WESP operation in wet gas cleaning
Metso Outotec is launching a digital Optimizer for its wet gas cleaning solution, the Editube Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP). The new WESP Optimizer improves the operation of the WESP section by better adjusting it to changes in the overall process.
Metso Outotec has more than 35 years of experience with wet electrostatic precipitators and has sold more than 125 units. This extensive experience of the Metso Outotec experts is now incorporated into the new WESP Optimizer.

Wet Electrostatic Precipitators (WESP) are a necessity prior to sulfuric acid plants processing metallurgical off-gas to ensure a high-quality acid. Metso Outotec Editube WESP has a very high removal efficiency potential where dust levels in the outlet are commonly measured at below 0.5 mg/Nm3.
The Optimizer utilizes the existing instrumentation and is always tailored to the needs of the specific customer by Metso Outotec specialists. Commissioning and online support services are available as part of the Optimizer license.
