Eloro Resources intersects 0.43% Sn over 62.84m at Iska Iska
Explorer Eloro Resources has released assay results from the first five of its eleven definition drill holes, including an intersection of 0.43% Sn over 62.84 m, at the polymetallic tin-silver Iska Iska deposit in Bolivia.
Chief Executive Officer Thomas Larsen commented, “These latest drill hole results are very encouraging… Significant tin is present in several holes with grades up to 0.5%, highlighting the chances to expand and increase the grade of the tin resource which is a high priority exploration target in 2024.”
Continuing, Larsen said, “As we expected, the higher-grade silver and tin intercepts from this definition drilling program are demonstrating selective higher-grade zonation within the starter pit area and the Tin (Sn-Ag-Pb) Domain.”
The company also highlighted results in Hole DSB-61, including 0.52% Sn & 37.15 g/t Ag over 37.57 m from 171.27 to 208.84 m. Channel sampling of a typical high-grade structure in the Santa Barbara adit returned 0.46% Sn & 165 g/t Ag over 166 m, including a very high-grade section of 1.16% Sn & 446 g/t Ag over 56.19 m.
Providing an update on Eloro’s ongoing metallurgical test work, Executive Vice President Dr Bill Pearson commented, “Work is continuing on the ‘ore-sorting’ tests with metallurgical work on the concentrate samples produced at TOMRA in Germany being completed at Wardell Armstrong in Cornwall.”
Looking forward to 2024, the company expects to release results from the six remaining definition drill holes in the first part of January, concluding the first phase of the infill definition drilling program, which aims to enhance grade and expand tonnage in the Santa Barbara starter pit area. The company continues to prepare a Preliminary Economic Assessment.
Eloro Resources will be pleased with ongoing progress in metallurgical testing and in resource definition, with these first drilling results providing potential for the expansion of the tin resource at Iska Iska – as of August 2023 an Inferred resource of 110 Mt at 0.12%. We look forward to reading the complete drilling results in January 2024.
