ZUMA IN JAIL: Justice served, at last!
Jacob Zuma surrendered himself to police less than an hour before midnight on Wednesday after a night of high drama during which a phalanx of heavily armed police units was on its way to arrest the former statesman at his home in Nkandla, in rural KwaZulu-Natal.
The disgraced 79-year old former president, who oversaw a decade of state capture and decline, spent his first night at the Estcourt prison after high-stakes cat-and-mouse negotiations with the police.
We wish him many happy years in the prison as South Africa recovers from his devastating rule of state capture, looting and rampant corruption.
