Alba aluminium smelter damaged after missile strike

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) smelter was damaged in an Iranian missile attack. The smelter said two of its employees were injured in the attack – both of whom suffered minor injuries.

It is assessing the extent of the damage to its facilities and remains focused on maintaining its operational resilience and the safety of its employees.

Emirates Global Aluminium’s neighbouring smelter in Abu Dhabi was also attacked by an Iranian missile strike on Saturday, with five members of staff injured.
