Bakubung Platinum Mine processing plant progress update
Hot commissioning of the Bakubung Platinum Mine (“BPM”) processing plant (“BPM Processing Plant”) was planned from 23 March 2023 to 30 March 2023, however, due to several challenges during this period, a steady state operation was not achieved for seven continuous days and the Company accordingly indicated that the commissioning of the BPM Processing Plant was envisaged to commence before the end of May 2023.
The Company is hereby advising that the commissioning of the BPM Processing Plant has commenced on 31 May 2023, and that production at the BPM is expected to commence as soon as possible after the commissioning process of the BPM Processing Plant has been completed.
The Company will update shareholders and investors on the progress at the BPM, and further announcements will be made in this regard, as and when appropriate.
