HWI launches a new type of gunning mix
PITTSBURGH – Amidst the challenging landscape of 2020, HarbisonWalker International was able to celebrate a successful year with launching a high-performance, maintenance gunning refractory solution.
Following several years of benchmarking and development work, 2020 marked the first full year of GUNTECH 60 – a commercially available, 60% alumina, gunning monolithic that consistently meets the installation performance criteria of its customers.
Along with GUNTECH 60, HWI also introduced GUNTECH 60Z, GUNTECH 60AR and GUNTECH 65AL. All of HWI’s new GUNTECH gun mixes have been designed for easy installation without compromising installed properties.
As the latest addition to our product portfolio, these mixes offer extremely low dust and rebound rates, a wide water range, and ON-LINE rapid cure/rapid fire technology for faster turnaround.
