MERAFE: Ferrochrome price increases by 15.4% for last quarter 2021

SANDTON – Merafe Resources has advised that the European benchmark ferrochrome price for the fourth quarter of 2021 has been settled at 180 US cents per pound, a 15.4% increase from the third quarter of 2021.

Merafe Resources Limited is a mining and exploration company in South Africa. The Company currently mines chrome reserves. The Company also operates in the hydraulic mining props field. 

Merafe’s revenue and operating income are primarily generated from the Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture (Venture) which is one of the global market leaders in ferrochrome production, with a total installed capacity of 2.3mt of ferrochrome per annum.
