Settler Washer Train technology for new alumina refinery in Indonesia
China International Aluminium Engineering Corporation has signed a contract with Metso Outotec for the delivery of sustainable technology and equipment for a single settler washer train for PT Inalum’s new 1 million tonne per annum alumina refinery to be built in Mempawah, West Kalimantan in Indonesia.
“We are excited having been chosen as the supplier for the settler washer technology for Inalum’s new plant. The order strengthens our market position in the bauxite and alumina sector by complementing our portfolio consisting of bauxite handling, grinding, digestion and evaporation, security filtration, red mud and hydrate filtration, and calcination.
The Settler Washer Train technology will enable our customers to recover valuable caustic and meet their red mud disposal and washing targets,” says Dr. Alessio Scarsella, Director, Light Metals.
