Ranking the five nations with the largest deposits of platinum ore

South Africa – South Africa is the world’s largest producer of platinum, and the Bushveld Complex in the country’s northeast is home to the world’s largest platinum reserves.

Russia – Russia is the second-largest producer of platinum in the world and has significant deposits of the metal in the Ural Mountains and Siberia regions.

Zimbabwe – The Great Dyke, a geological feature running through Zimbabwe, is home to large platinum reserves, and the country is the third-largest producer of platinum.

Canada – Canada is a significant producer of platinum, with deposits found in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.

United States – The United States has platinum reserves in Montana and Alaska, with the Stillwater mine in Montana being one of the largest producers of the metal outside of South Africa and Russia.
