New, technological coke-oven machinery for voestalpine Stahl
Leading European steel producer voestalpine Stahl has awarded a contract for the supply of two new Coke Transfer Cars for its Coke Plant #1 in Linz, Austria to Danieli Corus and INperfektion. This equipment will replace the existing machinery in use at the coke side of the oven.
The newly developed Coke Transfer Cars have fully integrated hood systems to minimize emissions during coke pushing operations. They are equipped with door extractor, frame cleaners, door cleaners, coke guide cage and spillage coke handling system and can be operated in fully automatic, semi-automatic, manual and “repair and maintenance” modes.
This project brings together the expertise of industrial automation and coke plant machinery specialists INperfektion and the plant engineering and project management capabilities of Danieli Corus. voestalpine Stahl, INperfektion and Danieli Corus are confident that with the new equipment, cokemaking operations in Linz will take a step forward in terms of emission control, efficiency and operator safety.
